Super Simple Bubble Snakes: A STEM Challenge for Preschoolers

Materials:

  • Bubble solution & bucket or tub
  • Empty plastic water bottle
  • Sock
  • Rubberband
  • Tape Measure

Teaching Strategy:

Adult Prep: Cut off the bottom of the water bottle.

Step 1: Place your sock over the open end of your water bottle. Use a rubber band to secure in place (if needed).

Step 2: Dip the sock end of the bottle in the bubble solution and blow!

Step 3: Have a partner measure your bubble snake.

Extend the Experience: Collect your bubble snake and turn it into a bubble sculpture or add food coloring to your bubble solution to create rainbow snakes.
