STEAM Challenge: Can you design a poster to represent your country?

To kick off the summer games there is a big opening ceremony. The ancient Greeks also had ceremonies to open and close the games. The opening ceremony includes speeches, the hoisting of the flags lighting of the Olympic cauldron, and the parade of athletes.

While opening ceremonies have evolved over the years, the opening ceremony allows the host city to show off its culture and history through dance, show, and special effects.

STEAM Challenge: Can you design a poster to represent your country?

Materials: Patriotic colors, stickers, ribbon, drawing materials.

Adult Prep: Arrange the materials in a pleasing way to invite your child to create their own poster. Remember, it is the process of creating not the end result that is important.
