Make your own wacky Wednesday by painting with a shoe!
Objective: Use an old shoe instead of a paint brush and experiment with what kind of different marks you can make.
Materials:
- old shoe
- washable paint
- Easel (optional)
Step 1: Set up your painting area with washable paint and a drop cloth if needed.
Step 2: Let the students paint with a shoe!
Use an old shoe so children can experiment without worrying about keeping it clean. Experiment with different types of shoes.

Building Challenge: How tall can you stack the blocks and balance a shoe on top?
Put a wacky twist on block center by trying to balance a shoe on top of a tower of blocks.

- Blocks
- Shoe
Step 1: Challenge your students to see how tall they can build a tower of blocks.
Step 2: See if you can balance a shoe on top of your tower?
Use a timer to keep track how long your shoe stays balanced before toppling over!
