ICE PAINTING

Step 1: Place paper on a tray. Spray paper with water until well coated with water and place in freezer.

Step 2: Once the paper is frozen observe with your child how the water changed into ice.

Step 3: Paint ice with watercolor paint.

Step 4: Place paper in a sunny spot to dry.

Parent Tips: As your child is painting the ice observe the changes taking place (ice melting into water). While the paper is drying observe what is happening to the water (evaporation) leaving the paint on the paper.
